Meet the team behind AOHBL

The Academy of Home Based Learning was developed by Dr. Edwina Grossi and Richard Grossi, combining decades of experience in education, homeschooling, psychology, strategy and educational development.

Dr Edwina Grossi

PhD (Education) UKZN; B.Ed Hons (cum laude) UKZN; Natal Teachers Senior Diploma; Natal Teachers Junior Diploma; Dip Rem Ed (cum laude) RAU; Dip. Dyslexia (Univ York); School Readiness Assessment (UP)

Dr. Grossi is an educational specialist with over 50 years of teaching experience. She developed a practical, step-by-step early learning programme designed to help children build strong foundations in reading, writing, numeracy and life skills.

Throughout her career, Dr. Grossi founded and developed a number of leading educational institutions, including:

  • Wonderland Baby Care
  • Wonderland Pre-Primary School
  • Embury College Primary School
  • Embury College High School
  • Embury Institute for Teacher Education

Richard Grossi

Richard Grossi is a strategist, lecturer and educational content developer with extensive experience in psychology, communication, strategy and learning development.

Working alongside Dr. Grossi, Richard has contributed to the development, structuring and expansion of the AOHBL educational resources, online learning systems and homeschooling support material.

His work focuses on creating practical, accessible and engaging educational content that supports both parents and educators in early childhood learning.
