Ants on a Log has long been a family favorite for big and small snackers alike. Its loved for its unique flavor, crunchiness, and healthy properties combined with a little sweetness. And of course, because it looks like Ants standing on a Log. 🙂
- 2-3 stalks of celery, washed and cut into 3 inch long pieces.
- peanut butter/almond butter OR cream cheese
- handful of raisins
After you have washed, dried and sliced your celery stalks, use a small butter knife or the back of the spoon to spread the peanut butter inside the celery stalk. If you have a child with nut allergies, replace peanut butter with cream cheese. Top the peanut butter with a few “ants” and voila, you are finished!
Encourage your child to try the new treat (if its new to him), you never know, it could be your families next big snacking hit!
